We should not have to travel as far as Wakefield or Pontefract to access these vital, basic services.
We urge the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust to think again and remove these proposals, which we believe would damage both the quality and breadth of local healthcare services.

The Mid Yorkshire Hospital Trust are proposing the following changes to Dewsbury & District Hospital:
Local people would have to travel as far as Wakefield or Pontefract to access vital health services for ALL urgent medical needs and many non-urgent procedures. We think this is completely unacceptable.
Our Hospital is under serious threat. We need to fight to keep our services local.
Your local Labour team is leading the battle to save our hospital but we can't do it alone. Local people and politicians of all parties need to come together for the sake of our hospital.
